One pump replacing two for pre-evaporated juice at 125 °C
The challenge
Pumping pre-evaporated juice at 125 °C at high flow. Because of the fluid temperature, meeting the NPSH conditions was the main concern. The operation relied on two pumps and required several interventions during the crushing season.
The solution
Field engineering studies conducted by Multisteel with the customer led to an RTK 350/630 pump operating at 880 RPM, driven by a 300 hp electric motor.
The result
A single pump took over the duty previously shared by two, meeting the required flow without recurring interventions: less equipment to monitor and significantly less maintenance.
